Homeschool Mentor
PowerUp Learning is designed to support learners of all ages by connecting meaningful experiences with practical knowledge. Whether exploring independently, learning as a family, or building new skills through guided courses, each experience is intentional, engaging, and rooted in real-world application. As homeschoolers and educators, we bring years of experience to the homeschooling community.
PowerUp Learning understands that homeschooling can feel both exciting and challenging, whether a family is just beginning the journey or has already been homeschooling for a year or more. New homeschool families may feel overwhelmed by curriculum choices, legal requirements, schedules, and the responsibility of guiding daily learning, while experienced homeschool families may encounter new questions about motivation, academic progress, organization, or long-term planning.
PowerUp Learning is here to help families work through these challenges with practical guidance, encouragement, and individualized support. Together, we can tackle concerns such as choosing the right curriculum, creating a manageable daily routine, supporting a child who resists learning, organizing records and academic progress, and planning meaningful projects that connect learning across subjects.
Starting your homeschooling journey doesn't have to be overwhelming. Whether you're just beginning to explore homeschooling or looking for fresh ideas to strengthen your family's learning experience, personalized mentoring can provide the confidence, knowledge, and practical support you need. Every family is unique, and together we'll develop strategies that fit your child's learning style, your family's goals, and your daily life.
Working with an experienced homeschool mentor allows you to learn from someone who has successfully navigated many of the same questions and challenges you may be facing. From understanding state homeschooling requirements and selecting curriculum to creating schedules, teaching multiple ages, supporting struggling learners, and building confidence as a parent-educator, mentoring provides guidance that is practical, encouraging, and based on real-world experience rather than one-size-fits-all advice.
As both an experienced homeschooling mother and an educator, I bring a unique combination of professional expertise and firsthand experience. I hold a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in reading disabilities and have taught students from kindergarten through high school, including developing and teaching high school seniors in an alternative high school diploma program. My background allows me to help families recognize learning differences, develop effective instructional strategies, and create learning environments where every child can succeed.
My goal is simple—to help you homeschool with confidence. Through one-on-one mentoring, you'll receive personalized recommendations, practical resources, honest answers to your questions, and ongoing encouragement from someone who understands both the educational and the family side of homeschooling. Together, we'll build a learning plan that inspires curiosity, supports your child's growth, and helps your family enjoy the homeschooling journey.

Our Process
Discover
PowerUp Learning begins by learning about the family’s goals, children’s ages and learning needs, current homeschool approach, strengths, challenges, schedule, and priorities. This step helps clarify what the family needs most from coaching.
Design
Together, the family and coach create a personalized plan. This may include curriculum guidance, project-based learning ideas, daily or weekly routines, record-keeping systems, academic goals, or strategies for motivation and independence.
Support
The coach helps the family put the plan into action with practical tools, encouragement, troubleshooting, and adjustments. This step focuses on making homeschooling more manageable, organized, and aligned with the child’s needs.
Reflect and Refine
PowerUp Learning reviews what is working, what needs to change, and what next steps will help the family continue growing. This final step helps families build confidence, strengthen consistency, and adapt their homeschool plan over time.
